This Pink Power Beet Smoothie takes the classic strawberry banana smoothie and super-charges it with antioxidant-rich roasted beets!

This recipe takes beets to the other side of the flavour spectrum, transforming your everyday strawberry banana smoothie into a health-packed, super pink power beet smoothie. Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are a great source of fibre, Vitamin B9, manganese, iron, and vitamin C.

To combat the “dirt” flavour many people don’t like in beets, use creamy and sweet ingredients in your smoothie. Banana and yogurt add creaminess, while strawberries and honey add sweetness!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large red beetroot or 2 baby beetroots (can be cooked or raw)
  • 1 dl strawberries / 150 g
  • 1 banana
  • 1 dl yogurt
  • 1 tbs honey 
  • Splash of your choice of milk
  • 1 tbs collagen powder / one serving
